After completing this course\, participants will have the knowledge and feel confident in their abilities to perform lifesaving skills. \nThis course includes: \n\nThe AHA Chain of Survival\nHigh-quality CPR for adults\, children\, and infants\nImportant early use of an AED\nEffective ventilations using a barrier device\nImportance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR\nRelief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults\, children\, and infants\n\nParticipants who have never taken BLS should take the initial class. During the initial class\, AHA videos will be shown and each section will require the participants to practice hands-on skills. The initial course is more comprehensive\, providing a more in-depth exploration of material\, techniques and practices\, making the approach and duration longer than the renewal classes. \nDuring the renewal classes participants will review the material in a PowerPoint presentation\, AHA videos\, and practice their cognitive and psychomotor skills through small-group case scenarios. \nIf a participant needs to withdrawl from class\, please notify KSRN Certifications. A $50.00 fee will be charged if a participant does not show up for class or does not notify KSRN Certifications 24 hours prior to the start of class.
