SUMMARY:ACLS Renewal Class December 8th at TCO Crosstown Surgery Center
DESCRIPTION:ACLS is a comprehensive course that builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills. ACLS is focused on identifying someone who is in cardiopulmonary arrest or experiencing other cardiovascular emergencies. It is designed for healthcare providers who may be involved with and participate in the management of patients in these types of situations. \nThis course includes: \n\nSystems of care & review of BLS\nSystematic approach\nManagement of ACS and strokes\nRecognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest\nRecognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions\nCardiac Algorithms\nCardiac Arrest: Special Situations\nHigh-Performance Team Roles & Dynamics\n\nParticipants who have never taken ACLS should take the initial class. During the initial class AHA videos will be shown & after each section the instructor will encourage the participants to have open discussions so they can further their knowledge. They will also have the opportunity for more simulation to learn and practice their cognitive and psychomotor skills. The initial course is more comprehensive\, providing a more in-depth exploration of material\, techniques and practices\, making the approach and duration longer than the renewal classes. \nDuring the renewal classes participants will review the material in a PowerPoint presentation\, AHA videos\, and practice their cognitive and psychomotor skills through small-group case scenarios. \nIf a participant needs to withdrawl from class\, please notify KSRN Certifications. A $50.00 fee will be charged if a participant does not show up for class or does not notify KSRN Certifications 24 hours prior to the start of class.
