SUMMARY:Initial ACLS
DESCRIPTION:Duration is 8 hours. Nursing CEU’s -8 \nACLS is a comprehensive course that builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills.\nACLS is focused on identifying someone who is in cardiopulmonary arrest or experiencing\nother cardiovascular emergencies. It is designed for healthcare providers who may be\ninvolved and participate in the management of patients in these types of situations. \nParticipants who have never taken ACLS should take the initial class. During the initial class AHA videos will be shown and after each section the instructor will encourage the participants to have open discussions so they can further their knowledge. They will also have the opportunity for more simulation to learn and practice their cognitive and psychomotor skills. The initial course is more comprehensive\, providing a more in-depth exploration of material\, techniques and practices\, therefore making the approach and duration longer than the renewal classes. During the renewal classes participants will review the material in a PowerPoint presentation\, AHA videos & practice their cognitive and psychomotor skills through small-group case scenarios. \n24 hour notification is required for non-attendance. Failure to let us know if you will not be attending will incur a $30 no-show fee to your surgery center.
